Manchester United has taken their 20th Premier League title after beating Aston Villa 3-0 on Monday night, 22ndApril, at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Robin van Persie, who is a 29-year-old Dutchman, stole the show with his hat-trick – all of which were scored in the first half of the game by the striker.
The footballing ace made the crowds roar when he put his first goal of the evening in the back of the net within the opening minutes of the game.
And Wayne Rooney, as well as Ryan Giggs, seemingly pleased Man U spectators on the night with their contributions.
The match wasn’t going Aston Villa’s way try as they might, as the second half drew to a close with Man U coming out on top.
Man U manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who first joined the club in the 80s, is reportedly happy with the outcome of the game.
It became apparent that the northern team might take the title after opponent Manchester City lost their game at the weekend. Man U was in a good position being many points clear ahead of kick-off on Monday.
