Kacey Ainsworth has signed a 150,000 one-year deal with Eastenders to carry on as Little Mo.
BBC bosses are relieved that Kacey, 34, will stay, as they are losing a host of big names over the next few months, such as Nigel Harman (Dennis Rickman), Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie (Kat and Alfie Moon).
The Daily Mirror quoted a show insider as saying: "It's been gloomy in Albert Square lately with big names leaving.
"But everyone is just overjoyed Kacey is staying. Viewers really love Little Mo."
Kacey, who took a break last year after giving birth to daughter Blossom, has been involved in some of Eastenders' most harrowing storylines.
The youngest of the Slater sisters, Little Mo suffered abuse from husband Trevor for years, then her marriage to Billy fell apart.
Kacey must be hoping Little Mo's luck will begin to turn.
