Jude Law is to demand a DNA test to prove whether or not he is the father of a pregnant model's child.

The two-time Oscar nominee has vowed to support Samantha Burke and her unborn child completely, but he has allegedly told friends that he wants to be "100% certain" before committing.

Burke's grandmother, Delores stated: "To say this family is mad at that man is an understatement.

"He has behaved as less than a gentleman. My son Denis is hopping mad. He feels that Jude Law took advantage of his little girl."

Burke has said that a DNA test will only be carried out once the child, who is said to be a girl, is born. Burke is seven months pregnant.

A friend of the actor told the News of the World: "At the moment Jude doesn't know for sure he is the father. He thinks he is  -  but he wants to be 100% certain.

"There has been a lot of speculation. But if it is his baby girl he'll be there for her every step of the way."

Law has previously paid out a £6m lump sum to his ex-wife Sadie Frost, who is the mother of his three children.
