Upon being told she had breast cancer in 2008, at the age of 73, it was reported that the multi-award winning actress insisted on filming her sixth appearance as Professor McGonagall in 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' even while undergoing radiation therapy.

The Academy Award winner had the lump removed, but intensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy has left he contemplating giving up theatre acting.
