Stunning singers Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera are fighting it out for a role in a new film.

The part in question is in the upcoming film "The 5th Commandment" (thou shalt not kill), Keys and Aguilera are reportedly the last names on the shortlist.

Keys has gone on the offensive, organising a 10 million party at the Cannes film festival for the great and the good of Hollywood.

However, while Steven Spielberg and Brad Pitt swan about in the south of France on Keys' yacht, Aguilera is confined to a recording studio in the US.

A source told The Sun: "Alicia is determined to win the part so she's heading to Cannes to try to impress the big casting agents, directors and producers.

"She's spending a fortune," he added.
