Keira Knightley has hit out at the Oscars comparing them to "a dog show".
The stunning British actress has also admitted she is dreading Sunday night's (05.03.06) event.
She said: "It's a bit like being in a dog show.
"You get trotted out as Britain's prize poodle, wearing your dress and they give you marks out of ten for what you are wearing and what your jewels are like."
However, Knightley - who's nominated for Best Actress for her role as Elizabeth Bennet in 'Pride And Prejudice' - puts her reservations down to nerves.
She added: "This is my first time going to the Academy Awards and it's terrifying."
The star has also attacked Hollywood for being ageist and a lonely place.
She fumed to US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres: "You are surrounded by thousands of other people, who are after the same thing.
"If you are an actress - you work more when you are young. There is a time frame that you have to be realistic about. I don't think you are ever in control."
