Keanu Reeves has revealed that he is planning to star in Bill & Ted 3, despite the fact that it has been more than a decade since the last Bill & Ted movie was shown.
The actor, 47, will be reprising the role of lax grunge-era adventurer-of-sorts Ted Logan. Reeves thinks it will be interesting to see the duo no longer as easygoing teenagers but as middle-aged men.
The last Bill & Ted movie was released in 1991 and was called Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. The first was released in 1989 and was entitled Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Both have remained firm cult favourites.
Reeves’ partner, Alex Winter, who played Bill, is also said to be on board.
Without revealing anything serious about the storyline, Reeves did drop some hints. He said: “One of the plot points is that these two people have been crushed by the responsibility of having to write the greatest song ever written and to change the world. And they haven’t done it. So everybody is kind of like: ‘Where is the song?’”
Keanu, however, is aware that the duo will have lost some of their original chemistry, which will need to be developed again.
