Corrie's Todd Grimshaw faces further confusion when fiancee Sarah-Louise Platt suggests his bit-on-the-side Karl as the best man at their wedding.
The hapless serial teen-mum Sarah, played by Tina O'Brien, has no clue that the father of her second bub is secretly seeing Karl as well.
An insider from the soap said: "Love tangles between best man and bride have been the staple diet in movies and television dramas. This is our unique take on it."
Todd, played by the soon-to-be-gone Bruno Langley, realises he may well have to spill the beans on his forbidden love - and tell Sarah-Lou that he's against the wedding altogether.
In a move that piles more pressure on the confused fella Katy Harris - one of Sarah-Lou's mates and paramour of her step-dad Martin - discovers his relationship with Karl.
The gay male-nurse brags about an affair with a "married man" and she joins the dots.
Katy, acted by brow-eyed beauty Lucy Jo Hudson, presses Todd to come clean with his possible-future-bride: or she will.
Karl isn't exactly pleased about the state of affairs either - sulking whenever Todd acts like he is happy with Sarah.
"Todd does not know which way to turn," said the Street insider.
But he added that Todd realises that it's time to come clean.
Poor Sarah has her world turned upside down, not only is she left with two children by the age of 16, but she is forced to move back in with mother Gail.
