Justin Timberlake has been awarded libel damages after a newspaper accused him of cheating on girlfriend Cameron Diaz.
The singer's lawyer told a London court how model Lucy Clarkson has now admitted her claims to Britain's News of the World newspaper that she had a secret fling with Justin were fabricated.
The heartthrob was awarded an undisclosed sum for damage to his "personal and professional reputations".
Under the headline, "Bad News for Cameron as model reveals lover's secret fling", beauty Lucy had claimed she and Justin enjoyed several dates before spending a steamy night together in a London hotel.
Justin's lawyer, who said the singer was donating the "substantial" damages to charity, told the judge: "The newspaper now accepts that all the allegations complained of are entirely untrue and without any substance.
"Ms Clarkson, who sold her story, accepts that she had not had an affair or fling with Justin Timberlake. She accepts that the story was a complete fabrication."
