Jon Bon Jovi’s wife and children were among those people who were affected by storm Sandy. Based on reports, the rocker’s wife and children were trapped in their New York City home unable to evacuate as the roads were closed.
Bon Jovi was in London for work at the time. Reports state that he instructed his wife to take their kids out of town after hearing about the storm.
However, his wife missed the chance to escape from their New Jersey ranch, as reported by Female First. It is understood it was too late as the streets were already closed off. Apparently the star’s family didn’t have any option but to wait for the heavy winds and rain to pass.
Bon Jovi told the Daily Express that he was tense at the time Sandy hit as he was full of worry for his family:“I said she should go to our New Jersey house but she told me it was too late, the street was already closed off.”
The singer’s family emerged unscathed when Sandy finally died down. He said: “They were fine but the power went out. They're hoping to get it back on soon.”
