Former Brookie babe Jennifer Ellison looks set to land the job of Doctor Who's new assistant.
The 21-year-old Hell's Kitchen winner is reportedly in talks with the BBC to take over from Billie Piper as the Time Lord's new sidekick, the Daily Star reports.
Billie, who plays Rose to Christopher Eccleston's Doctor in the current series of the sci-fi show, announced this week that she would be leaving during the next series.
The news came only weeks after Eccleston himself announced he was quitting at the end of this season because of the gruelling filming schedule.
Casanova star David Tennant has already been lined up to play the new Doctor and it now looks as if his battles with aliens will take place alongside the lovely Jennifer.
"She would love the role. She'd be ideal," a spokesman for the actress told the newspaper.
Former EastEnder Michelle Ryan and Footballers' Wives star Laila Rouass are also being mooted for the role, but BBC bosses have reportedly set their sights on Jennifer.
However, with the young starlet making her way in Hollywood, most recently with the lead in forthcoming horror flick The Cottage, telly execs will be wary of choosing yet another actor who will hit the heights and then leave.
