Jade 'devastated' at dad's death

Jade Goody has been left devastated after the death of her father.

The reality TV star is distraught after dad Andrew Goody, who she has always had a rocky relationship with, died of a heroin overdose.

His body was found in a house in Dorset yesterday (22.08.05).

Andrew, 42, who has reportedly overdosed on drugs 15 times before, had not seen his famous daughter in months after she publicly disowned him.

Jade had made several attempts to reconcile with her estranged father - who has served time in prison for various offences - in the past.

But she cut him out of her life after the birth of her two sons, Bobby and Freddy, because she reportedly feared he would be a bad influence.

However, Jade's mother, Jackiey Budden, says her daughter is upset that she will now never have the chance to make peace with her dad.

She said: "I didn't realise it would hit us this hard. Jade is feeling it most, knowing her two boys will never see him. We were still dreaming that one day he'd get better and be a real father and granddad."
