Rumours have been circulating that Cheryl Cole would be returning to the X Factor as a judge, ever since she was unceremoniously ditched from the US X Factor last year.
However, now the star herself has ruled out any chance of a return, posting on her Twitter page:
"X Factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past. Please #letsmoveonnow #newnewspls Zzzzz *yawns*."
Her comments come following suggestions made by veteran judge Louis Walsh that she "could be back".
He told the Mirror:
"I'll tell you who the panel will be. It will be Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and perhaps Cheryl Cole.
"She could be back. I'm not saying she definitely will, but I'd love to see her."
Twenty-eight-year-old Cole sat on the X Factor judging panel from 2008 to 2010, before leaving to appear on the American version of the show.
She was replaced by former Pusscat Doll and Lewis Hamilton's other half, Nicole Scherzinger after a matter of days.
