George Lucas plans to build Yoda statue in California; applies for permit

George Lucas applies for permit to tear down a building and replace it with a park featuring Yoda.

Filmmaker George Lucas plans to build a second Yoda statue in California. He has applied for a permit to demolish a structure in San Anselmo to help him achieve this.

 

Mr. Lucas has done this so he can replace the structure with a park.

 

This is so it can feature not just Yoda, but also his beloved movie character, Indiana Jones.

Reports confirmed that Mr. Lucas filed legal papers with local officials on November 28th, 2012.

 

Chamber of Commerce President Connie Rodgers believes that Mr. Lucas request will be granted and that the project would begin early next year.

The new space is more likely to be opened before next summer.
