Coronation Street has filmed a new episode with a gay kiss, it has emerged.

Todd Grimshaw is set to snog a male nurse in a new plotline.

Todd, played by Bruno Langly, falls for nurse Karl Foster. The scene is filmed in Manchester's gay village.

The affair could have dire consequences for Todd's girlfriend, Sarah Platt, who is pregnant with his child.

Todd was seen straying from the straight and narrow last year, when he kissed Nick - Sarah's brother.

That scene was Corrie's first gay kiss, it generated 20 complaints.

He explained to Sarah, played by Tina O'Brien, it was a mistake. He then proceeded to get her pregnant and propose.

A source told The Sun: "Todd's confused. He loves Sarah and wants the baby - but has feelings for Karl."

The storyline will play out on April 12th.
