Culprit: 'Dynasty'

The cult soap that is 'Dynasty' ran from 1981 to 1989 and was mega hit. Starring John Forsythe and Joan Collins as Blake and Alexis Colby, the primetime TV show had viewers gripped.

Fortunately the over-acted and over-dramatised scripts became a little too much to take and the series became lacklustre. Or maybe it was just the casts overly shinny faces that put us off?
