He was outstanding in a very poor Charlton side last season and has been brilliant for Aston Villa this term. Despite his early clanger in the debacle against Croatia at Wembley he also pulled off a brilliant reflex save to deny a certain goal and deserve a chance to show he can make amends for a mistake made in a pressure game in poor conditions.
