In 1995, staff at Swiss Supermarket thought Joyce Lebrom was suffering a heart attack when she suddenly collapsed at the checkout. But when paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a stolen chicken popping out from the unconscious woman's bra.

It soon became clear that the woman had fainted due to the cold of the frozen chicken. When she eventually came round, the poultry pincher was discharged from hospital and charged with theft.
