However, his new character was with a difference. As the story of the series goes, during his resurrection using a "mystic ceremony performed once a century", a mistake by the hapless Nanny – using ketchup instead of blood – leaves him resurfacing as the first ever vegetarian vampire.

In all, 65 22-minute-long episodes were made, and the show remains a cult classic.
