A smooch at the railway station is a classic way of saying hello or goodbye to your lover - preferably set to melodramatic music while stood in the rain after a torrid affair. But public displays of affection could soon be no more.
Warrington Bank Quay Station in Cheshire has decided to take the romance out of the railway by banning public lip-locking with their "No kissing" sign. Placed by the taxi ranks outside, they are aimed to stop couples holding up the queues by the busy station.
