2006, Was it a vintage year for games or an annus horribilis? Now you have your chance to register your view. Game.co.uk have announced the shortlist for the People's Choice Game of the Year 2006.

The 12 candidates come from across a range of platforms and genres covering every gaming preference. The Game of the Year is the only category chosen by the public; other awards given out include Best Portable Game, Best Multiplayer Game and Best Hardware.
