Godzilla, King of the Monsters, stamped his imprint on cinema with dozens and dozens of movies in which he played both a force of destruction and Earth's defender against threats from outer space.

His latest incarnation (budgetted at a whopping $160m) was directed by Gareth Edwards who previously helmed the remarkable no-budget aliens thriller Monsters.
