The line-up: The Carling Reading and Leeds Festivals are another double header which always boasts an amazing line-up. Top of the list to check out at this year's festival are the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They'll be joined on the bill by the reformed Smashing Pumpkins, Kings Of Leon, Arcade Fire, Lostprophets, Nine Inch Nails and many, many more.

Why you should be there: Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend in August, the two venues share the same bill with the bands hotfooting it to the alternative site on their tour buses overnight. Both sites are close to town so you can pop in top up your alcohol supplies and get some good grub. Weekend camping tickets have all sold out, but there are still a few tickets available for individual days.
