Teletext surveyed 3,000 holiday makers to find out which resort in the UK was most quintessentially British, so with the kids off school why not escape for a quick vacation they're proven to love?
The survey found that access to fish and chips and working lighthouses were important factors in establishing the Britishness of a resort.
Coming at No 10 was the resort of Dunoon on the Argyll coast in Scotland. Some of its attractions include a statue of Robert Burns' lover Highland Mary, the castle house museum and the Benmore Botanic Gardens.
