A simple yet effective two dimensional fighting game, International Karate - or World Karate Championship as it was known across the pond - set the player against a friend or the computer.

Embarrassingly simple by today's standards, the game nevertheless set the world alight back in the martial arts crazed 80s.

It may have had a few minor issues (such as when Data East attempted to sue over copyright) but this game will still go down in the annals of history a classic.
