Charlize became a mum to baby Jackson in March, with her people confirming the news to US Weekly in a statement:

"Charlize Theron has adopted a child. She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson."

Single mum Theron has always been open about wanting a child, telling Germany's In Touch magazine in August 2011:

"I want a baby. If it would happen tomorrow I would be very happy."

When asked by the publication if she would consider adopting as a single mother, she replied:

"Why not? I'm open to everything in life."
