Katy first introduced the world to Kathy Beth in her video to Last Friday Night, where she played a geeky version of herself, who was later transformed into the glamorous Katy Perry we know today.

Aside from the video, Katy appeared 'in character' as Kathy at a number of events and interviews, carrying on the new persona for some time!
