The prince is planning a Christmas proposal to his long-term girlfriend, according to the Daily Express.

Spotted: The paper reports that speculation about the young couples' possible engagement has reached feverish heights with her ever increasing appearances at official royal events. Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, said she believed an announcement would be made "maybe this Christmas, for a wedding next year". She said: "An engagement will happen in a moment and there is a possibility of Christmas or, if not, February."

Is it love? The official status of "girlfriend" has already been given to her and insiders predict that it is only a matter of time before William pops the question. Seward added: "She always looks to me like the cat that's got the cream. If she wants William, she'll get him."
