Learn to get a laugh
Manchester Collage in Openshaw is providing a course which teaches students how to be a stand-up comedian.
The 12-week programme, funded by Manchester City Council, has caused much uproar in the TaxPayers' Alliance who have dubbed it as "an absurd waste of taxpayers' money".
The man behind the course Ashely Boroda, who wrote hit TV show 'Dead Ringers' has said that applicants "don't need to have qualifications or to have gone to a fancy school or top university" adding that they do however "just need to be funny". If this is the case, then what is there to teach?
