After an eventful series – where one celeb quit only days into the show due to exhaustion, Jordan returned to the jungle only to leave after she was victimised by the public's voting, and another abandoned camp to make way for the rest – the King of the Jungle 2009 was crowned.

Snooker player Jimmy White came third and TV presenter Kim Woodburn was voted runner-up, leaving the path clear for celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo. However it was a bitter sweet victory for the Italian as he was arrested moments after leaving the jungle with fellow contestant stuart Manning for animal cruelty.
