Used in research to battle: Cancer

Biologists at Amersham Hospital in Buckinghamshire have discovered that dogs have a keen sense for detecting cancerous cells.

Their sense of smell was put to test when they sniffed out seven urine samples including one from a patient with bladder cancer. The dogs found the culprit more than 40% of the time.
