Finishing in fourth place at the 2008 Beijing Olympics where she made her Olympic debut, Dobriskey raised her game to finish with silver in 2009's World Championships – after a dramatic final which saw Spanish athlete Natalia Rodriguez disqualified for pushing. In the end, only 1/100th of second separated her from the gold medal.
