Cash-strapped NASA are flogging off three of their spaceships (due to be officially decommissioned in 2010) for an astronomical £27.5m a piece with only 100 million miles on the clock. Although they have targeted museums for the sale, any buyer with his head in the stars can put up an offer.

Furthermore anyone with £15 million to burn can be sent to space, but for a "space walk" outside it's going to set back the buyer a cool £28 million. A company called Space Adventures can set up this privilege.
