First Euro 2008 game: Against Poland, June 8

Germany were the first team to qualify for Euro 2008, finishing top in their qualifying group and with a 28 goal difference.

With Chelsea strongman Michael Ballack at their heart, they field an impressive squad. They play a precise and deadly game and while Jens Lehmann may seem a little shaky in nets, the full backs, Philipp Lahm and Marcell Jansen, should have him covered.
