Best known for giving beers their distinctive flavour, hops have a tried and tested history for aiding sleep-related illnesses. So much so, that harvesters often suffer a state of tiredness known as 'hop-pickers' fatigue'.
Add two teaspoonfuls of the dried herb into a cup of just-off boiling water and leave to steep. Drink the solution before bed for a soothing slumber.
