A lemur's fur is short, woolly and usually coloured grey and white, with a long orange tail. Their head is round with a short muzzle and ears hidden in the fur.

But an increasingly large market for the leaf eaters has opened up after lemur awareness was raised by John Cleese who even has a breed of lemur named after him (Avahi cleesei or Bemaraha Woolly Lemur).
