Over the past decade the health risks which are associated with smoking have been increasingly warned about. So much so that what was the norm half a century ago is now increasingly looked down on, particulary after the public smoking ban in 2007.
However, according to the anti smoking charity Ash, just a couple of years ago more than 10 million people were continuing the harmful, not to mention expensive habit. We all know that the addictive substance, nicotine, makes it particularly hard to quit but every year thousands of smokers decide to give it up in the New Year.
With support and aids to help smokers stop it seems it would be easier than ever and maybe this is why quitting smoking is one of the most commonly made new years resolution and also one of the most commonly broken.
