Sherbet Fountain
The classic, fizz-in-your-mouth treat is set to get a makeover. From the beginning of May the sugary sensation's paper packaging will be replaced by a plastic tube. Despite nobody ever dying from dirty sherbet, the new owners, Tangerine Confectionery, are swapping the wrapper for "hygiene reasons" and to stop runaway sherbet from escaping.
Although the liquorice stick will still be inside, fans of the sherbet dip may have a reason to worry, as the packaging is not all they're changing. The manufacturer is tweaking the 90-calorie sweet's recipe, exchanging any artificial colours for natural ingredients and making the product halal.
Despite reassurance that the favourite nostalgic wonder will taste the same, we'll reserve judgement! What are the other favourite sweets that deserve a mention?
