Every Christmas Day, the Queen broadcasts her Christmas message to her Commonwealth, talking of the year gone by and her hopes for the future.
The concept of the speech was first brought forward in the 1930s when the BBC suggested that they use the newest technology to bring the Commonwealth together. King George V was the first to broadcast his message, something which has since been upheld by his granddaughter and our Queen, Elizabeth II.
In recent years, Sky One and Channel 4 have offered viewers an alternative message to watch by someone who is from the pop culture. This year N-Dubz and Louis Spence are set to record their alternative version.
