This song is an Irish folk-style ballad, written by Jem Finer and Shane MacGowan and it featured on The Pogues' album 'If I Should Fall from Grace with God'. It was originally released as a single in 1987 and reached No 2 in the charts. The Christmas No 1 that year however, went to Pet Shop Boys with their hit 'Always On My Mind'.
