The couple married on the Italian Riviera during a private ceremony attended by a small gathering of family and friends in June. It took place in a 17th Century villa at Santa Margherita Ligura.

The twice-divorced rock singer gushed: "It wasn't love at first sight but it has grown into the most wonderful romance of my life."
