The Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Tony Parker, in November.

The actress, who shot to fame playing Gaby Solis in the show, confirmed reports via her Twitter account.

She said: "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each otherÂ’s happiness."

Professional basketball player, Parker, posted an identical message on his Twitter page, also expressing his sadness at the split.

The couple got engaged in November 2006 and married in a ceremony in France in 2007.
