Antony Worrall Thompson was cautioned this week after stealing wine, cheese, onions and coleslaw from his local Tesco store.

The 60-year-old made a public apology and said that he had let his family and fans down after shoplifting five times over the festive season before being confronted by the security guards.

He has pledged to the police that he will seek the help he needs.
