Another classic, but this time it was the BMW makeover of the boldly British classic cars that got the voter's motors running with 4% of the votes. Less of a tin can, the surprisingly spacious, ultra cool and powerful set of wheels emerged from the BMW factory with their take of the fond favourite.

And memories from the iconic scenes of 'The Italian Job' and the 'Herbie' films certainly didn't do any harm to the mini's street cred either.
