Today the Vantage V8 may be the car of the Premiership footballer but when it was first released in 1977 this beast was much more exclusive.

Labelled as Britain's first supercar, the first V8s off the production line carried a souped up Lagonda, making it one-tenth of a second quicker than the Ferrari Daytona.
