The nation's shabbiest rail stations have been named and shamed ahead of a £50 million shakeup to improve Britain's train network. So called 'Station Champions' - former Virgin Trains chief executive Chris Green and Town and Country Planning Association president Sir Peter Hall - have identified the 10 most in need of the urgent work.
Problems: Stockport was one of the 10 worst stations, criticised for being half modernised and in need of major car park improvements.
