Die Another Day (2002)
North Korean Colonel Moon wants to reunite the north and south of Korea under the north's control. His plan is to launch a laser-wielding satellite in order to cut a path through Korea's demilitarised zone which is presently covered in landmines.
Before all that Bond 'kills' him, only to find out that he didn't really die. Instead he had a highly dubious 'DNA transplant' which turned him into a British playboy called Gustav Graves who lives in an ice palace.
Aside from the obvious disasters in drafting in Madonna for a theme song and cameo, 'Die Another Day' missed the obvious - if the villain had the time, money and influence to hatch this plan surely he could just send his troops around the minefield instead of using a laser in space to do it for him.
