Two of the newest additions to the Big Brother house have been sent packing after just a week.

David and Shanessa, who originally came in via the 'halfway' house, were given the boot with 37% and 38% of the public vote respectively.

Emerging to a half-hearted selection of cheers and boos, Shanessa acknowledged that she had "made a big impact in the week for the wrong reasons", saying her lap dance and her failure to drink a pint of mayonnaise may have been her downfall.

David said his eviction was "anticlimactic" and that he "never expected to win it" because he was a newcomer.
