The Jesus and Mary Chain
Indie rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain are to reform for a US music festival.
Organisers of the event have said that the Scottish group - who built a reputation in the 1980s for drug influenced lyrics, music infused with electrical feedback and volatile gigs - are due to appear at the three-day Coachella Music Festival, in California in April.
The Jesus and Mary Chain found success with their 1985 debut album 'Psychocandy' at a time they were also making headlines for fights at their concerts. After a tension-filled tour in 1998 - during which a member walked out - the band officially split the following year.
