Because it dwells in old forests, environmentalists plead for logging bans while workers argue for their jobs.
These birds live in pairs and there are less than 6,000 left on the planet. Because they're nocturnal, they're rarely ever seen. Their favourite meals include northern flying squirrels, birds, mice, and other small rodents.
